Watch any Mass, Prayer or Briefing on our YouTube Channel: St. Gabriel Fern Creek

The more YouTube subscribers we get, the more easily our channel will be found when searching on YouTube. Please note: We are using our website, YouTube channel, bulletin, email and Facebook to communicate to our community during these rapidly changing times. Make sure we have your email address on file, and that you have liked our Facebook page so that you receive our community briefings.

We are now offering in-person Church Mass on Sunday at 8 am, 10 am and Noon for a maximum of 135 visitors per Mass. Masks are required. Ushers will seat you. Social distancing will be maintained.

Our number one priority in reopening public Mass is your safety from the COVID-19 virus. Since it is such a large undertaking, we are taking every precaution to ensure your healthy and safety, and to “keep the curve flat.”  We commit to ensuring that our reopening complies with the social distancing guidelines as instructed through the Archdiocese of Louisville, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the Federal Center for Disease Control. (CDC). As you might also guess, the need for proactive distancing, PPE, masks, disinfectant, training of staff and volunteers, maintaining respect for the Eucharist, providing adequate staffing at Masses, establishing checkpoints and security, among all other issues were examined.

In these times, we must keep the faith.

These events can be seen on the St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish Facebook Page, both live and recorded. And, a recording can be found on our YouTube channel.

St. Gabriel the Archangel Church is creating a new pictorial directory and we want you to be included! This is an important tool to help everyone put faces with names, connect better, and build community within our parish. To sign up or copy and paste the following link:

Appointments will be 15 minutes. Parishioners will go up to Loft 1 one group at a time while the next family waits in the staging area. Once one family is photographed that family will exit down the back stairs while the next family goes up to the loft using the front stairs. The photographer will wipe down and sanitize anything that may have been touched. An online Zoom session will be scheduled at a later date to view photos and make any purchases should families wish to buy any of the photos.

Please make your photography appointment ONLINE NOW so you will be included in the new pictorial directory. Photography dates are: August 25-29 and September 1-5, 2020.

This link will also be in the weekly bulletin starting soon! If you wish to have the appointment made for you please email Kathy Abell at or call 502-905-3795. Thank you for helping us photograph as many parishioners as possible so that our pictorial directory is as complete as possible. It won’t be complete without YOU!

Re-scheduled Events:

Trivia Night: We are moving the date to Sept/Oct. More details to come. Teams will receive a refund.

Pictorial Directory: This program has been suspended until the Fall. Please look for new dates this summer.

Cancelled Events:

Summer Festival: The decision was made to cancel this year’s All-American Summer Festival. The Summer Festival supports a myriad of capital improvement projects, outreach ministry endeavors (like our Parish Mission) and equipment purchases. It is with much-discussion and heavy hearts, that the committee determined that a Summer Festival of this size would not be feasible or safe this year. We will be working together, and collaborating with other parish organizations, to outline other fundraising programs and events later in the year to raise money for campus projects and programs. We are excited to work collectively with other groups to pool our resources.
