Gym Manager- Part Time/Weekends and Weeknights

Opening:                       Gym Manager

Description:               We are seeking a Gym Manager for St. Gabriel the Archangel Sports Ministry. Part-time weeknights and weekends, primarily September through March, sporadically through the calendar year. Alternating preplanned schedule with another Gym Manager. No benefits, but up to 20 hours on the weekend, Friday-Sunday. This is a great job to supplement your income.

Duties include:

  • -Management of gym concession stand during game, including workers, inventory, and money
  • -Oversight of gate and gate workers during games
  • -Arrange schedule and payment for all gym workers (refs, concessions stand, clock, book, and gate)
  • -Direct contact and liaison with game workers – referees, clock, book, and line judges, as directed by Youth Sports Ministry
  • -Organize and maintain facility including gym, stage, storage areas, and concession stand.
  • -Oversee emergency protocols for the gym during gym usage, including weather-related, health, and safety emergencies
  • -Operate the floor scrubber daily
  • -Clean as needed
  • -Be the point of contact for questions from coaches and fans
  • -Communicate all concerns with Youth Sports Ministry

 

Qualifications:              +Must be 21 years of age

                                               +Knowledge of CSAA rules preferred

                                                +Must pass a background check, credit check, and complete Honor Thy Child Training

 

Pay:                                        $18.00 -$21.00 per hour

Expected hours:            Up to 20 hours per week

Technology Support Technician  

Opening:                             Technology Support Technician

Description: 

●        Work collaboratively with IT Director and Technology Teacher

●        Provide quality customer service to staff and students for technology related issues such as passwords, log in, technology upgrades

●        Track and respond to technology support requests

●        Technology inventory management, acquisition, set up and repair 

●        Troubleshoot iPad and other technology problems/issues with staff and students

●        Create new/manage Google accounts for students and staff

●        Create monthly Bright Sign videos that play in the cafeteria and hallways

●        Manage ink recycling program (collect, package, mail, turn in checks)

●        Updates IOS and add iPad apps to class sets through management system

●        Assist with safety issues regarding emails and phishing

●        Assist with training of Student Technology team as needed

●        Reports directly to the Director if IT. Member of school technology committee

 

Qualifications:              High School Diploma. Associate’s Degree preferred. Experience providing technical support on a variety of hardware, software and operating systems.                                                                  Industry relevant certifications preferred but not required. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum                                                                             qualifications.

Pay:                                       $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours:            Full time, 40 hours per week, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, some nights for meetings or weekends for major projects, on call

Coordinator of Children's Faith Formation (Part-Time, School Year)

Opening:                      Coordinator of Children's Faith Formation

Parish/School:         St. Gabriel the Archangel 

Description: The Coordinator of Children's Formation will work closely with children in our school, preschool and parish to deepen their faith. The person in this position will learn and teach the Montessori method of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, in addition to preschool faith enrichment and coordination of Vacation Bible School and other children's faith-based activities in collaboration with the Director of Faith Formation, the ministry team and volunteers.

This position is part-time, 40 weeks a year, averaging 20 to 25 hours per week, reporting to the Director of Faith Formation. The position follows the school calendar, with a few summer weeks, and some nights and weekends as needed during events and activities. Retirement plan, holiday pay and paid time off days are included.

Qualifications:

  • Active member of a Roman Catholic Parish and in good standing with the Church.
  • Certified for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (St. Gabriel will send you to train).
  • A bachelor’s degree in the area of Theology, Catholic Studies, and/or Education (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • At least one year of faith formation experience in a Catholic parish, school, organization, or diocese.

Pay:                                   $21.00 - $23.50 per hour, eligible for some benefits

Expected hours:       20 – 25 per week, 40 weeks per year
