Homework:
Parents,
Just a reminder . . . .when you log on to Power School to check your child’s grades, please remember to do so as YOU and NOT as your child.  Power School lets me know when you log-on and check your child’s grades.  This way I know you are staying informed.  If you have misplaced your personal log-in information contact Mrs. Kremer at skremer@stgabriel.net .  She will be happy to forward that information to you.  Thanks for your cooperation and support in educating your child.

Water bottles are allowed in class.  Please bring them with water already in them.

For those interested in checking on the reading level  of written work, I have posted the following directions:
To learn the reading level of an article:
 Click on the “tools” icon
Click on “options”
Click “spelling and grammar”
Under the grammar section, click “show readability statistics”
The next time that you click on spelling & grammar on your toolbar you will get your statistics for that piece of work
This can be used for any type of writing the students use or any piece of writing online

Ms. Lauder will offer the homework program for those interested on Mondays- Thursdays.  The cost is $5.  She gives them a quiet place to work on homework and gives guidance.  You may contact her through her website if you are interested.

Science:   Try drying half of your hair with the hot setting on the hairdryer and the other half on the cold setting.  Which dries faster?

I will be posting additional information to this website throughout the year, including homework assignments, important dates, reminders, newsletters, and other miscellaneous items of interest.  I will be communicating through your child when important things have been put on the page.  I envision that this website will become a primary means of communication and a valuable resource for both you and your child!
