Who are these children and what have you done with our seventh graders?

Our 7th grade participated in a manners and etiquette class titled

"Eat Properly without Grossing Anyone Out."

They exemplified wonderful manners at the conclusions of the class with lunch at Woodhaven Country Club.

SMART Board Mania

With the addition of LCD projectors in all classrooms this year, and SMART Boards in many (slated installation in all classrooms by next school year) it was time to show off what mad skills teachers and students have developed using SMART Boards in the classrooms. So we took a tour around the building to see what was happening. . . . .

7th graders access online resources on alleles and the inheritance of genetic traits, while 8th graders use periodic tables to research the element of the day in Mrs. Fulk's science classes.

Mrs. Hart uses the SMART Board for a lesson on family life. These notes were later printed for students who were not in class that morning due to their involvement in the talent show. With the SMART Board, both shows could go on!

8th grade Algebra students in Mrs. Kremer's class use the SMART Board tools to factor quadratic expressions. Notes and sample problems solved in class each day are converted to pdf files and saved online for them to download for reference later.

Love Mass 2008

Love was in the air, as kindergarteners celebrated their annual "Love Mass" both for families (last week) and the school (on Valentine's Day). The kindergarteners prepared and delivered all the readings of the Mass and performed special songs traditionally associated with love. Each child brought in a new baby gift at the Offertory that will be donated to the Center for Women and Families (a safe house for abused women and their families).
