Parent and Student Testimonials
A letter from Major Mark A. Vance, MD, stationed in Iraq, thanking our 4th graders for their Chridstmas cards and greetings.

Poet
and Author Judy Sizemore visited our school and interacted with all our
students with a presentation on poetry writing. This is what she
had to say after her visit:
"Thank YOU! I had a wonderful experience. Your students and teachers are amazing. To tell you the truth, I have used those activities in classroom situations as part of a residency program, but I had never tried them with an assembly so I was not sure how the dynamics would work and it was great to be able to try it out with such incredibly well-behaved, engaged and literate students. Now I know how it works in the ideal situation. I doubt I'll ever have groups like yours again, but I feel emboldened to try it at other schools.. . .They totally blew me away!"

Thank
you and everyone that we met at St. Gabriel's last week for making us feel so
welcome. The faculty was so kind to take the time to answer our
questions and make us feel comfortable. There is not enough that we can
say about your facility and the learning environment you have created. It
is very impressive. We believe our daughter will thrive at St. Gabriel's
and we look forward to her enrollment.

St. Gabriel Faculty & Staff,
My daughter is new this year to St. Gabriel. I would like to thank you for making her adjustments to a new school feel comfortable. We have been welcomed and our daughter has adjusted very well.
Thank you,

I wanted to let you know that I think we have really great upper classmen. There are several older girls who always say, "hello" to my daughter and give her those "girl" hugs. When I ask her, "Who was that?" she tells me they were her big buddy or that she met them at cheerleading camp over the summer. It really makes her smile and feel good when they recognize her. I think this is awesome because I was always so scared and intimidated by upper classmen in my grade school.
Then, not too long ago, I was on my way into the office to drop off some donations, and a young man trotted quickly to the door and opened it for me. Then he said, "After you". He was very polite.
I really love the respect and friendship I see at St. Gabriel's, even when the students are not in their classrooms and there is no teacher present. There really is a sense of family and school spirit at St. Gabriel. Hats off to the students and teachers!

At St. Gabriel, every day is a learning adventure!
I just wanted to tell you thanks for being such a good teacher. I excelled in high school and college because of the basic knowledge I received in your class. I have been accepted into three medical schools so far, and I couldn't have done so well without good teachers such as yourself.
Thanks
again and God bless,
Jon Obert (Class of '99)
