• Congratulations to Lindsey Hastings who was the only student from the State of Kentucky to make it to the semifinals and finals of the Siemens Math, Science and Technology Competition.

  Class Reunion! Class of 1985. Mark Craven asked us to share the following information:

Come join us for a day of fun at Churchill Downs. Gates open at 11:30 AM and the first post is at 12:40 PM. Admission is $3.00 per person (or $1.00 per person if you sign up for the twin spires club @ http://twinspiresclub.com/ (free to join). We will probably go to a bar or restaurant after the races. Children and spouses are welcome. I hope everyone can make it. We are still missing several classmates, so if you still keep in touch with someone we graduated with, please get the word out to them. I know a lot of them are not on Facebook.

• Shelby Brown was the only student, by invitation only, based on interviews and audition, from the state of Kentucky, to attend a "Summer Beginning" Workshop in New York City, which incuded seminars and workshops in the performing arts. Out of 150 participants, 14 were selected to perform in the final showcase, and Shelby was one of those chosen. Out of those 14, she was the ONLY soloist! Upon completion of the workshop, she was offered the opportunity to join the New York Dance Company post-graduation.Shelbyu currently has the lead in Assumption's latest play," The Secret Garden". It will run November 1st-5th. Break a leg, Shelby!
