Robert E. Lee was born in Stratford Hall,
Virginia on January 19,1807. Robert E. Lee was the General of the
Confederate army & the Northern Vriginia army in the Civil War.
Lee was the son of a Revolutionary War hero, Henry "Light Horse
Harry" Lee III. Lee was an exceptional officer who was a combat
engineer for 32 years before resigning to join the Confederate cause.
Later on, Lee had become the General for the Confederate army.
Lee had commanded one of the most powerful armies that put a
struggling toll on the Union army.

was secretly ridiculing the Confideracy in letters denouncing the
secession as a "revolution" and a betrayal of the efforts of our
founders. Lee was appointed to command all of Virginia's armed
forces, and was named one of the five full generals of the Confederate
Army. When Lee was appointed a general for the south, he said he
would not wear the insignia of a general rank until the Civil war
was won. Robert E. Lee was one of the best strategic generals of
the history of the U.S. General Lee, only a few weeks after the
Civil War suffered a horrific stroke, that later claimed his life on
October 12th, 1870 in Lexington, Virginia.
