Introduction
The
White House in Washington D.C has been the home of all of the
presidents since the begining on April 30, 1789. From George Washington
to Obama they all have lived there. It was built in 1810 by Perrie L'Enfant.

In the White House there
is
132 rooms, 32 bathrooms, 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 7
staircases, 3 elevators, and 6 floors. On average it receives
about 6,000 visitors per day. It took just over 570 gallons of
paint to cover the outside. Each president that live there can build
what ever they want. Bill Clinton built a track to run on every
morning.
The White House has had many different name changes over time. It has
been called the President's Palace and the President's House until 1901
when Theodore Roosevelt officially changed the name to the White House.
The White House kitchen has five full time chefs and can serve dinner
to as many as 140 guest. It can serve d'oeuvers to over 1,000 people.
