Introduction
The Korean War Memorial was a memorial held for the people that were in the Korean War and were killed.   Another name for this war is The Forgotten War.

• The United States Military sent about 122,000 soldiers to Korea to help them win the war they were in
• 522 of the soldiers that were sent there were killed
• Korea thanked the soldiers that served in the war so they raised a bunch of money for a memorial
• The amount of money that was needed was $400,000
• $320,000 was given to them for the memorial in private donations and the rest of the money was raised
• The Korean War started on June 25, 1950 and finally ended on July 27, 1953
