Introduction
The Lincoln Memorial is a memorial that is honoring Abraham Lincoln the 16th president of the United States. The Lincoln Memorial is located in Washington D.C. and was designed by Henry Bacon. It's stands at the west end of the national mall. Lincoln Memorial stands 190 feet tall and is 119 feet wide.It is surrounded by 38 columns  which represented the states that were in the union at the time of Lincoln's death. Inside this giant monument is a 19 foot tall marble statue of Lincoln sitting in a chair.
