F. Kennedy was
the 35th president of the United States of America. He was assassinated
and had a very special grave for him and his family. John F. Kennedy
was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Life before death
John F. Kennedy was born on May 29th, 1917 in Massachusetts. He had
many political figures in his life. Including his father, a very
successful buisnessman and ambassador of Great Britain from 1937-1940.
Also his grandfathers were important in politics. Kennedy graduated
from Harvard University in 1940. In 1941 Kennedy joined the U.S.
Navy. John F. Kennedy was a member of the Democratic Party. In
1946 John F. Kennedy was voted into the House of
Representatives. In 1952 he was elected into the Senate.
In 1953 John F. Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier. They had 4 children but only two survived infancy.
JFK, as most people called him, ran for President in 1960 for the
Democratic Party. He was the President on January 20, 1961.

-He was the first and only Roman Catholic President.

Information
John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 while
giving a speech in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was the accused for
shooting our 35th President. John F. Kennedy only served as
President for ten months and two days. John F. Kennedy was buried in
Arlington National Cemetery on November 25, 1963. Buried beside him is
his two children, who died as babies, and his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy.
A good friend of John F. Kennedy's, John Carl Warnecke, designed the
President's grave. The grave site was open to the public on March 15,
1967, about 4 years after his death. Before the terrorist attack on
September 11, 2001, the grave site was less visited then before, but
soon after it was still visited daily by hundreds of people. About
twice a month elderly women come and visit our former President and
mourn and some faint because they are so overwhelmed. Still today John
F. Kennedy's grave is one of the most visited.
