Museum of natural History
Introduction:
The museum of Natural History is one of the biggest museums in the
entire nation. It holds over 500 million specimens including
animals, plants, rocks, fossils, metiorites, and human artifacts.
In the year of 2009 there was a huge number of people that visited this
museum. 7.4 million people visited this museum in 2009. This museum
holds the largest number of natural scientists working for them in the
world. This is the biggest museum in Washington D.C.
Interesting Facts:
- The doors to the Museum of Natural History opened on March 17, in the year 1910.
- For some reason the building wasn't finised until 1911, a year after it's opening.
- This museum not only had breath taking exibits, but also had mass
collection services and research facilities.


- The "Butterfly of Peace", a famous artifact was 1st shown in this museum in the year of 2005.
- This massive museum is about 5,000 square feet in perimeter.
