Introduction

The Smithsonian's National Zoo was founded by the Act of Congress on March 2, 1889. It is home to many different types of plants and animals and also researhes biology and reproductive science. This 163 acre park is located in Washington D.C. There is more than two million tourist each year that come to learn about the wide variety of animals.
