Introduction
  Eleanor Roosevelt was married to Franklin D. Roosevelt the 32nd  President. They where 6th cousins.  They had six kids. During World War 1 she became an active public service.  Eleanor spoke out for womens issues, human rights, and children causes. She also stood against racial discrimantation and also the poor. Eleanor died of cancer on November 7, 1962.

Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884 in New York City, New York. She was a shy girl growing up. Her mother died in 1924. Two years later, her father died and she became an orphan at age 10. She was sent to a school in England. She was the neice of Theodore Roosevelt.  
Eleanor worked for the American Red Cross during World War 1
She dramatically changed the role of the first lady
Eleanor had her own newspaper column called My Day
She became the chair of UN's Human Rights Commision
Eleanor helped write the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
She wrote many books during her life time
Eleanor served as chair in Commision on the Status of Women
She was one of the most outspoken women to ever live in the white house
She was a great humanitarian
Eleanor was dedicated to fighting for what was right.
