Introduction
Ford's Theatre was opened in 1863 by John Ford. It soon became very well-known around the country. On April 14,1865, Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln came to see a popular comedy, Our American Cousin. Then John Wilkes Boothe fired one of the most famous shots in the U.S's storied history. He assassinated one of the greatest Presidents ever.

Interesting Info.
The theatre has been filled with haunting memories since its opening. Along with Lincoln's death, a tragedy when the interior floors of the building collapsed, killing 22 officers. Other interesting facts are not necessarily about the theatre, but about the similarities in the deaths of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. They are strangely related.
