The American history Museum was opened in 1964. The architectural firm McKim Mead & White  designed the building. In 1980 the museum was rename to what it is now the national museum of  American History. In the museum of american history they have exibits from trains to the muffits.

    The National  Treasures of Popular Culture is an exhibit of the muffits and the Sesame Street Crew.

    the museum was opened closed then reopend in 2008 because of renovation.The museum deticated all its collection to the history of out nation.
