Biography:
As a  native speaker(bilingual) of Castilian Spanish,  I was raised and educated   the early years of my life in Spain.  Both of my parents are immigrants of Spain. They are from the provinces of Burgos and Leon which are located north of Madrid.  While living in Spain,  I attended Sierra Blanca Elementary School.  It is a Catholic school located in the beautiful region of Málaga, Costa del Sol  (Andalucía).  Upon graduating from high school,  I had the great opportunity of studying for two years at both the University of Málaga(Spain) and the University of Navarra(Spain) to pursue studies in Spanish language and literature.

After  moving back to the United States,  I spent the last sixteen years of my life in Michigan where my teaching career began.  I have had the opportunity to see students develop and grow both academically and socially at all levels during my combined nine years of teaching experience.

I am married and have two children, James age 9 and Gabriel age 7.  We recently moved to Louisville in April of 2008.  When I have some free time, I cherish the time I spend with my husband James and the two boys.  As a family, we enjoy discovering the interesting places that the city of Louisville has to offer.
