Ms. Lisa Lauder is truly “home-grown”, being not only from Louisville, but a graduate of St. Gabriel School as well. After 9 years at Gabriel, she made the short drive down Bardstown Rd. to Assumption High School. Four years later, she got on the on ramp of the I-264, and traveled a few more miles down I-65N to the University of Louisville, where she received both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degrees in Elementary Education. Her fifteen years of teaching experience have all taken place at her original alma mater, St. Gabriel School, in fourth grade, where she has taught English, reading, and religion and currently teaches science and social studies. Ms. Lauder has often been found coaching various school teams and was a recipient of an Aegon Teacher Award in 1998. Ms. Lauder and her “only child”, Dakota, age 14 yrs. (human - 98 in dog years) are members of St. Gabriel Parish. In her free time, Ms. Lauder enjoys reading, hiking, and volleyball.
