Ms. Lisa Lauder is truly “home-grown”, being not only from Louisville, but a graduate of St. Gabriel School as well. After 9 years at Gabriel, she made the short drive down Bardstown Rd. to Assumption High School. Four years later, she got on the on ramp of the I-264, and traveled a few more miles down I-65N to the University of Louisville, where she received both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degrees in Elementary Education. Her twenty years of teaching experience have all taken place at her original alma mater, St. Gabriel School, in fourth grade, where she has taught English, reading, and religion and currently teaches science and social studies. Ms. Lauder has often been found coaching various school teams and was a recipient of an Aegon Teacher Award in 1998. Ms. Lauder and her "children, Dakota, age 16 yrs. and Boots, age 7 1/2 yrs., are members of St. Gabriel Parish. In her free time, Ms. Lauder enjoys reading, hiking, and volleyball. Happy New Year! Thanks to all for your generous Christmas gifts - I'm speechless!
On Sat., Feb. 25, 2012, I will again be participating in the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics. If you would like to sponsor me in this endeavor, please follow this link. I will post our scheduled jump time so you can come down to Tumbleweed on the River and cheer us on!
