Homework: The following homework schedule will be followed weekly. Changes may occur for short weeks and will be noted in your child's assignment notebook. Please refer to the notebook for specific assignments and page numbers. MONDAY: Spelling workbook pages TUESDAY: Reading selection for LOG WEDNESDAY: Math (Usually from our math workbook) THURSDAY: Religion review page/study for chapter test. Thank you to all who came to our Open House for Catholic Schools Week! We are all blessed to belong to such a wonderful school! We hope you enjoyed your visit to our classroom. Some housekeeping... please remind your child to use the restroom before leaving home in the morning or even using it in the gym once he/she gets to school. We take a class break at 9am. Many come in at 7:50 with restroom emergencies. Thank you for your help! Please ask your child if he/she could use some new crayons, markers, or a new green home folder and/or writing journal. Many of our supplies are getting worn out. We are also in need of some baby wipe refill packs. Donations to our class treasure box are also accepted! MONDAY, 2/6- English test today(Guidance and Library today) *BABY BOTTLES DUE TODAY TUESDAY, 2/7- Timed math test today (Art and Success Maker today) WEDNESDAY, 2/8- All School Mass- LOVE MASS by Kindergarten(Spanish today) THURSDAY, 2/9- Spelling test, Reading test (Music today) FRIDAY, 2/10- Religion test - GATTILAND FIELDTRIP TODAY! SPELLING LIST 21- Words that end with ing and ly 1. completely 2. actually 3. doing 4. taking 5. swimming 6. eating 7. slowly 8. starting 9. standing 10. freezing 11. leaf 12. leaves 13. important 14. nothing 15. dinner *winter Religion: Chapter 19- The Great Commandment- We are learning about God's love for us and how we are to follow his Great Commandment- Love God and Love Others. Math: We are now working on Chapter 7- Money and Time. Today was our second day with coins. We are reviewing coin identification and values. We will be adding amounts with dollars and coins this week. Reading: Our story this week is Cool Ali. Spelling: List 20-Plurals with es Phonics: I took a "phonics break" last week to do some reteaching of endings. Some still need help on adding -ing/-ed to base words correctly. We do have to move on this week to suffixes -ful, -less, -ness. Daily Language/English: Daily Work Packet #20. Science: We have completed Unit 1- Plants and Animals. We will begin Unit 2- Homes for Plants and Animals. We will learn about habitats- desert, rainforest, woodland forest, artic, salt water, and fresh water. We will work in small groups to research these habitats and teach one another the new information. Handwriting: We continue to work on cursive writing daily. This week we will learn lowercase b, o, c, g, and q.
