The Boy Scouts of America Mission Statement
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law
Cub Scout Pack 346 is for boys in first through fifth grade. Scouting is based on life skills education, leadership development, citizenship, and twelve core values to develop youth with strong character who are physically fit and prepared to be good citizens. These core values are Citizenship, Compassion, Cooperation, Courage, Faith, Health and Fitness, Honesty, Perseverance, Positive Attitude, Resourcefulness, Respect, and Responsibility.
Scouts will meet with other boys their own age at Den Meetings and outings to learn and practice skills and have a good time. The entire Pack gets together monthly for Pack Meetings which include advancement ceremonies, special guests, movie nights, etc. We have five or six camping opportunities every year and perform service projects for the Fern Creek area and our Charter Organization (St. Gabriel). The boys will also build and race vehicles in the annual Rocket and Pinewood Derbies. Cub Scouting is fun for the entire family.
If you are interested in joining Cub Scouts, come by one of our Pack meetings or contact our Cubmaster, Mark Craven, mcraven1971@insightbb.com, (502) 290-2938.
