Biography:

Mrs. Cathy Balbach is a native Louisvillian having attended Holy Spirit Grade School and Sacred Heart Academy in her early years.  She is active in her home parish, St. Margaret Mary, and in the community here at Gabriel and the community at large.  She has served as the past president of Queens Daughters,  a member of the Archdiocesan Curriculum Committee for Art, Member of NAEA and National Presenter at NAEA.  A member of pARTners for the Archdiocese of Louisville Art Teachers and as a Eucharistic minister.  This year I will present at OCEA in October.

Mrs. Balbach and her husband, John, have three children, John Jr., age 25,  and Joanie, age 24, and Sarah, age 22.   John Jr. Graduated Uof K in 2006 and is an Actuary.  Joanie is a graduate of Murray State  in 2008 and a CPA.   Sarah is a senior at Murray State University .  She will graduate in December with a BFA focus in Photography. When she has free time Mrs. Balbach enjoys art (go figure), quilting, painting, working out at the YMCA, and anything to do with her children.  Her thoughts on teaching and education:
